You can spend around 17 or 18 thousand living one year of the University life, while a community college will cost you a fourth of that.

Your parents are probably already encouraging you to go to college, even if you're only in junior high at this point. It's imperative to get good grades and really strive for that ideal college major that best suits your future plans. It's completely normal for them to encourage this.
