Community College Information TipsWhy you may ask? It's a heck of a lot cheaper. After spending two exciting years at a junior college, I proceeded to transfer all of my credits to a four-year University. You can spend around 17 or 18 thousand living one year of the University life, while a community college will cost you a fourth of that. Your parents are probably already encouraging you to go to college, even if you're only in junior high at this point. It's imperative to get good grades and really strive for that ideal college major that best suits your future plans. It's completely normal for them to encourage this. There is always something new to learn, and taking some classes at a college in your own community can help you with that endeavor. You may find the courses at your local community college to be very short, but very informative, and some are scheduled for those who work full time and cannot take time off to get more college learning under their belts. I felt like I was done with the homework and teacher routine. After speaking with my parents a bit, I ended up choosing a technical college.
